OralBot
- Answering a Need
Have you ever heard
of a dentist or hygienist that wears dentures? A recent independent survey
failed to locate a single dentist or hygienist with dentures. This is a
startling revelation especially when you consider that a whopping 75% of the
general population suffers from gum disease which in many cases results in tooth
loss and hence, dentures.
Why are dental professionals so fortunate as to
allude gum disease? Their good fortune does not come easy; it takes effort. Each day they take special care to ensure their own oral health by meticulously brushing their own teeth and gums. It is important to note that dentists are using the same typical single-headed toothbrushes that everyone else uses. The problem is that the general population tends to brush with hit and miss (mostly miss) tactics in their fast paced world.
The
result is the high incidence of gum disease, hence, tooth loss. The foregoing
was presented to prove a point: GUM DISEASE IS CAUSED BY HUMAN ERROR. (NEGLECT).
Imagine
the level of oral health you would achieve if you had your own personal dental hygienist
on house call, every day, morning and evening.
You would just sit there and enjoy her 20-minute oral cleansing sessions.
She would also throw-in a complete gum massage!
And one more thing, there would be no painful picking and poking, because
with daily cleaning, there wouldn’t be any build-up that mandates that
unpleasant probing. It would be an
enjoyable daily experience, and it’s safe to say, you would be an example of
superb and unsurpassed oral health.
Now,
imagine a home-use oral appliance that can achieve those same
results, but in a fraction of the time (30 to 90 seconds!).
The device would operate completely on its own, your hands at your sides,
everything happening automatically.
INTRODUCING....
OralBot
According
to United States Government statistics, gum disease affects 75% of our adult
population. Today there is no cure, however OralBot
will soon emerge, and for the first time, there will
be a cure for gum disease. To cure,
simply means to restore to health. This
product has the unique ability to restore gum tissue health of every
person who puts it into daily use.
It consists of a small robotic brushing unit that is simply placed in the
mouth. A computer module is nearby
on the counter-top to control robotic movements; your hands are not used.
The unit is custom programmed to brush your teeth and gums with such high
precision, that using the device daily will reverse gum disease and provide oral
health as never before realized.
The
product will be available through dental offices.
The dentist will make a full impression of the patient’s teeth/gums.
The impression will be sent to the production lab.
Technicians will custom
program the robotic brushing head to the specific needs of the patient
to insure absolute brushing perfection.
When
the unit is complete, it will be sent to the dental office where the patient
will be given operational instructions. The
patient will then take the unit home and use it daily to replace normal tooth
brushing and flossing.
The
patient will return to the dental office in 90 days to see if everything is
going well, i.e., there should not be even a trace of tartar build-up. The dentist or hygienist will
check to be certain that every spot is brushed correctly.
Should even one small spot be missed, this information will be e-mailed
to the production lab. Technicians
will make minor modifications to the program and e-mail the correction back to
the dental office, which in turn will give the update to the patient on a
digital card. The patient will put
the card into their counter-top computer module and touch the update key on the
pad. The next time the unit is used, the missed spot will be brushed properly.
This
concept has been reviewed by numerous Dental Professionals who unanimously agree
this product is a monumental breakthrough in oral care.
They conservatively estimate that when the product is available, they
will be able to prescribe at least one unit per week through each dental office.
Surprisingly, they did not feel the product would hurt their profession
because focus has shifted to cosmetic dentistry in recent years.
Manufacturing
OralBotic Research, Inc. of Escondido, California will manufacture the product. The company
is currently preparing for a substantial I.P.O. slated for late 2001. The driving
forces behind the I.P.O. are:
1.Highly qualified and experienced management team
2.Unique
distribution plan
3.Massive dental
professional endorsements
4.Unprecedented
clinical test results
Marketing and
Distribution
OralBotic
Research will
establish non-traditional dental offices throughout the country. These dental
offices will not compete with present general dentistry offices, as they will be
set up specifically to distribute and promote/prescribe this product.
As
an alternative, Oralbot will be distributed through established dental offices.
